Produced recommendations for the implementation, migration, and standardization from the mainframe system to Exchange, Netscape LDAP, and Solaris UNIX Integrated mail system.

Supported WFW, Win 95, and Win NT workstations running TCP/IP/NETBEUI in a large client server environment. Solved 6 to 10 trouble tickets a day adhering to the service level agreement at Abbott. Eighty to Ninety percent of time was spent doing face to face technical support within a biological research facility and environment. Experience gained in Remedy and Lotus Notes and Messaging 4.10 through 4.5.

Helped plan and execute the transition of 450 machines from Novell 3.12 to Windows Nt 4.0. Participated in the project from the beginning of setting up the 17 Compaq 5000R servers, application conversion and build to WININSTALL packages for 32 Bit environment, production of a consistent NT build for Compaq 6200, 5000 Pro Workstations and Toshiba laptops. Involved in all aspects of project from the beginning to the completion of the rollout. Very experienced with issues involving the production of working application install packages and consistent successful NT builds. 2ND and 3RD tier technical support after initial rollout for each department. Experience with conversion and issues involved with transition of many applications from 16 Bit Windows to 32 Bit NT environment.

Full time management and support for all end user computing functions within the 415, 510, and 408 area codes in connection to the Standard Desktop and Platform project. Full project included conversion of over 25,000 systems to a uniform hardware and software platform for both PC's and Macintosh systems. Rollout consisted of conversion of clients to a standard WFW and NT Uniform desktop. Managed technical support and conversion of 1500 machines to Standard Desktop in the Bay Area and managed rollout of 400 machines to the Human Resources Department at the San Ramon Headquarters.

My responsibilities also included assessing daily support procedures, communicating needs, responsibilities, and management issues to EDS and Blue Shield managers.
